The NGX All-Share Index and market capitalization depreciated by 0.55%, closing the week at
105,955.13 points and N66.352 trillion, respectively.
Similarly, all other indices finished lower except for the NGX Insurance, NGX ASeM, NGX MERI
Growth, NGX Consumer Goods, and NGX Commodity indices, which appreciated by 0.89%,
0.04%, 0.89%, 0.03%, and 0.02%, respectively. The Financial Services sector led in trading
activity based on volume, with a total of 2.302 billion shares exchanged at a value of N25.014
billion across 27,625 deals. This accounted for 70.17% of the total trading volume and 39.38% of
the market’s total value. Following closely, the Consumer Goods sector recorded 421.846 million
shares traded, amounting to N3.796 billion in 6,149 deals. The Services sector came in third,
with 228.075 million shares valued at N800.274 million traded in 4,741 deals.
Among the most actively traded equities, Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, Champion Breweries Plc, and
Jaiz Bank Plc stood out, collectively accounting for 1.621 billion shares worth N3.244 billion across 1,528
deals. These three stocks contributed 49.42% of the total market volume and 5.11% of the total market
